New shots, new look
We love our website and our photography. Nevertheless, everything needs a freshen up every once in a while, and over the last few months we’ve been busy behind the scenes working on our website and some lovely new images to go on it.
All our hard work has been leading up to a photo shoot, which happened on the 18th of this month, working with the amazing Hannah Hughes. We picked Hannah because of her shots are so colourful and inviting – good enough to eat so to speak – so we knew she would do justice to all our dishes.
We had a lot to decide upon to get ready for the shoot itself. However, what dishes to prepare was probably the main item on the list to determine. We obviously have a fair few on our current menus and some firm favourites that we have shot before. We also wanted dishes that may appeal to our more corporate clients as well, so narrowing the list down was no easy task. We finally settled on ten of the best:
Mini burgers – these are amazing as canapés so fabulous for parties, office events and weddings.
Halloumi and watermelon salad – a beautifully colourful addition to any event menu as a starter or a side.
Cooked lobster drizzled with a butter sauce and fresh parsley – a real treat, whatever the event.
Mini lemon tartlets – amazing mini desserts for informal or formal events.
Chocolate cake with drizzled chocolate – who doesn’t love a chocolate cake!
Stacked pancakes with blueberries and maple Syrup – this is one of our popular choices at brunch events.
Banoffee cheesecake – a superbly divine dessert whatever the occasion.
Berry roulade – one of our favourites and a favourite choice for many of our customers.
Fillet steak with seasonal coloured carrots – the perfect main for any event where you want to wow your guests.
Sharing platters and cheeseboard – these eye-catching, delicious platters prove popular at our many of our corporate events.
On the day itself, Bella, our marketing and events co-ordinator; Majena, our chef; and Carole, our founder and owner headed over to at Atlantic Studios in Acton where they were met by Hannah. Everyone was already a little weary as the whole PTG team has been so busy recently, but the general excitement of the day was encouragement enough to get everything ready and prepared for lights, camera and action.
Whilst much of the food prep was taken care of by Carole and Marjena, and styling and background choices sorted by Bella and Hannah, everyone got involved and it really was a team effort to get through to the end of the day. Unfortunately, lunch was courtesy of Deliveroo (hot lights and food don’t always mix well) although the odd cheeky lemon tart did disappear!
Keep a look out as our new look website will be going live very soon with all our lovely new images (and the odd motion clip too). We’d like to say a big thank you to Hannah as she really did make the day go as smoothly as possible and we are delighted with the results. You can check out more of her work at www.hannahrosehughes.com or why not follow her on Instagram.
