Planning the best Christmas party
Christmas just wasn’t the same last year, was it? One of our favourite parts of the festive season are the famous office Christmas parties, and many companies missed out in 2020. Don’t you worry though, they’re back in full force this year! If your party planning skills are feeling a little rusty, don’t panic! We’re here to help with some tips, so you can throw your hard-working staff the best festive party they’ve ever had.
Planning Ahead
If you haven’t already, then get started now. If you have left it a little late, however, don’t stress too much – there’s still plenty of options. You could consider holding your party in January as a nice ‘welcome back’ or hold the party on a weekday (work might be a little slow the next day), both options will help you stretch your budget a little too. If you find yourself really struggling, don’t struggle alone. There are party planners who thrive on throwing together last-minute Christmas parties.
Location, Location, Location
The venue is what gives the party its first wow factor. There are limitless choices for what type of venue you want, and it all depends on your organisation. It could be a local bar, a classy event, or one of those bars with games and arcades – the most important thing is to speak to members of your staff and decide on something the majority will enjoy, not just a few. If you fancy something a little different, Inside Outside Marquees offer extremely effective heating so you can comfortably dance the night away in your cocktail dress while in a beautifully decorated outdoor(ish) winter wonderland.
Food & Drink
This is the most important bit (obviously). Parties can be ruined by poor food, and it’s never been harder to please everyone. Parties to Go has you covered, with a wide range of
Should you decide that your party is food free and more about the booze, then an open car is always a guaranteed win amongst your staff. To go one step further and quirkier, IdeasBox offer tricycles to be ridden around your venue offering beverages to the guests.
Entertainment
Don’t underestimate the importance of entertainment; it can be the deciding factor in how an event is received. Make sure to hire yourself a well recommended DJ, but why stop there? Clownfish Events offer extraordinary entertainment including retro arcade games, photo booths, 8-lane Scalextric, table tennis and more.
It’s all about taking care of every detail so the Christmas party is on brand and the corporate messages are effectively conveyed. Attendees need to come away having had an amazing time and left excited for the next one.
